Higher salary for Tree Surveyor Positions in Peterborough

We have made some changes to our vacancy looking for 2 tree surveyors in Peterborough.


The post is initially on a 6 month contract but Enterprise Peterborough will be looking to grow their arboricultural team over the course of the year to fulfil a number of duties and outputs, so successful post holders will be well placed for any opportunities that do arise.


The salary is now £24-26,000 pa/pro rata and the following essential criteria are required:


Essential Selection Criteria 1 Weighting: 5

A LANTRA profession tree inspector’s course is essential plus one of the following (or similar which would have covered tree survey techniques and provide and understanding of risk identification in line with tree condition surveys):

• RFS certified arborist

• ISA certified arborist

• AA Tch CertNC (Arb)/ND (Arb)



Essential Selection Criteria 2 Weighting: 5

Candidates must hold a valid UK driving licence


Essential Selection Criteria 3 Weighting: 4

Physically able to work for prolonged periods outdoors at the roadside whilst surveying trees


Essential Selection Criteria 4 Weighting: 4

Experience or knowledge carrying out tree condition surveys.


Essential Selection Criteria 5 Weighting: 4

Experience or knowledge in formulating technical reports for tree related inspections.


Essential Selection Criteria 6 Weighting: 3

A good understanding of maps and I.T. Experience of working with handheld surveying devices.


Essential Selection Criteria 7 Weighting: 4

Determination; to succeed in delivering high volume and quality tree surveys in line with project targets and deadlines.


Essential Selection Criteria 8 Weighting: 3

Diplomacy. Ability to manage complaints and difficult situations in line with the Enterprise Peterborough’s policies and established practices.
