Found a bag of bullets with the stumpgrinder. Dodgy bloke was watching me over a wall grinding an old rotten Beech stump. I broke a tooth and had to go back to the van to get tools to replace it. He then hurriedly ran to the stump and started rummaging around. I got back quicker than he would have like and scarpered empty handed. Suspecting he was looking for a stash of drugs I had a wee look myself before I found them. Handed them in to the park manager who handed them in to the Gardai. Often wonder what would have happened if I'd have hit them with the grinder.

Not something i've found, more of a would love to find.

The story goes that my grandfather (mothers side) was a bit of a lad in his day.

He used to own a pub, and a lodging house, as well as dealing in timber and whatever else he could make a few bob on.

He was at an auction with his eldest son one day and bought a chest containing a load of tools. When they got back to the pub and rumaged through the chest, right at the bottom they apparently found a bag containing 30 Gold Sovereigns !!!!

Grandad had a bit of a panic, ran round to the lodging house and buried the sovereigns in the Garden (well most of them).

This was in the 50's, unfortunately he passed away without telling anyone exactly where he'd stashed the gold. As the Garden was about 2 Acres and now has a DIY shed and a large set of traffic lights on it, i think the chances of me getting my inheritance has passed.

I found a Butt plug whilst doing some work for Sainsburys , ended up going through the chipper, and on another occasion found a dildo in a carrier bag !

It's amazing what you find whilst cutting hedges back but it seems quite apt that you found a dildo when your forum name carries the same name as a make of dildo!!!

Whilst taking down a large oak a few years back i managed to hit something quite large and metal inside. Quite annoyed at blunting the chain but at the end of the day we split the offending section only to find what looked like a quick release from some sort of harness complete with buckles, webbing and all. So ended up taking it to the museum where i was told it was the quick release from a german airborne parachute harness from WW2.
