That too. If its to maintain a wood you only need to apply for license for the dangerouse trees, over roads or paths. If its wind blown its fine or just rotted and fallen its also fine, can "thin out" species if they are not native to area or causing native trees to fall back and out grow them.

 

Please correct me if I'm wrong as I like to get it right, but I'm sure it's how it works with wood land.

 

Also there is something in my head that is saying about leaving the brush in piles for conservation for a period of time for Eco system or some crap like that. Wildlife stuff with birds and what not.....

You can fell the three d's without a licence. You need a licence to fell more than 5 cube m and can sell no more than 2 of it per calender quarter. 2 cube per quarter is quite a small amount to try and make a profit on?
