Australia is it really worth it??

Recommended Posts

Is Australia really all it's cracked up to be ?, I've had the opportunity to interview for a few firms out there and bottled it each time just looking for some advice is it worth uprooting the whole family to go, I love the thought of it but I have my doubts lol

Any advice appreciated

My wife's an Aussie citizen so are my kids, we could go at any time, but with the poor exchange rate, and ridiculous house prices, and cost of living in Oz, like you say is it really worth it!

We did go over many years ago I kind of had a love hate relationship with the place.

But are you glad you went?

We only went for a year nearly 20 years ago, but yes I'm pleased I went, TBH if the exchange rate was still £1 to $2.50+ instead of $1.50 to the pound sterling, and the cost if living and house prices lower, I'd be back over like a shot ''I think''

My girlfriend is desperate for me to go to Oz with her - she lived and worked there for a year and loved it.... only trouble is.... I have a business to run here.

If I had no responsibilities I would consider going for a stint travelling - not sure I could ever move on a permanant basis
