Whats the weather like near you?

Recommended Posts

Monsoon type rain.  Thunder and lightning.  Looks like some lower parts of town are looking at flooding again.

Hard not to get a bit depressed with this kind of forecast. Has anyone informed the weather that it's supposed to be summer and this is the south of England? It honestly feels more like October at the moment.

You are clearly not familiar with the UK weather yet.

This is absolutely standard August weather and it normally perks up when the kids return to school.

14.6mm of rain today but easing off now with a good breeze. Might nip off for a windsurf

Possibly not. Either way, it's grim. I just can't get over how low the base temperature is at the moment. If it's raining, it's 15-16c, if it's sunny it's 20-21c. If it's cloudy, it's 18c.

Bring on a little heat. It's interesting to note how the growth of the eucalyptus slows with this shitty weather. I reckon it's reduced the growth rate by 30% or so, based on the one that I measure every couple of days at the bottom of the lane.

Every year I convince myself it’ll be a glorious Indian Summer (am I even allowed to say that anymore?)

Might just be right this year 😂😂

You can keep the heat. Much happier working in these temps
