I heard that BR are cancelling trains in East Anglia because it's forecasted to snow!!!

On the radio today they were saying that if the trains are cancelled with enough advance warning they don't incur financial penalties. And they don't get loads of complaints on the day. Sounds like a win, win situation for the profit makers.

It makes me wonder how they got the coal to the sidings to power the engines when you were a kid.

 

I know a bloke that got run over by a steam train, he was well chuffed.
