rope wrench query.

thinking about the rope wrench but most of our trees are small and messy so i tend to opt to climb rather than throw bag, so can i DRT to the top with my hitch the unclip the splice tie off to the tree , stick in the wrench and work the rest of the tree SRT with the same hitch???

if this is so it seems you could easly and quickly use both systems to their best advantages.

if anyone could shed light on my assumptions that would be great

Yes you can but without the removable pin it on the RW you will have to thread the rope through the RW, I swap between single line and double line but it is VERY important to have a correctly tied hitch that will grab immediately should you slip.
