The one i'm looking at is a 54 reg, sounds as though it will get about the same mpg as my nissan d21 and previous ldv

 

Mozza - i'm only 5'6" so guess i will squeeze in ok

 

considering adding a cheap series landrover for the snowy days

im looking at buying a nissan cabstar never had anything todo with one before so can anyone give me any advice good bad any common faults to look out for

 

I've got one. As said before, they are rubbish when empty, I even put michelin winter tyres on mine and it's still crap on grass, and the cab is very small, but saying that I managed to get out and deliver logs everyday last winter, although it was a bit challenging at times.

...last winter the coal man here got a 110 tipper to get about he runs all cabstar but when snow comes the 110 comes out jon

 

I also just bought a 110 to cover the Cabstar on those snowy days. The Cabstar is great for tight driveways and most jobs, but it will get stuck if one wheel starts spinning on anything at all. Love its simplicity. You won't win any races though! Esecially with a chipper on the back!

We've had two now, super reliable and an awesome turning circle! They are utterly terrible off road though. Look out for a noisy gearbox though. Ours has done about 30k and it's just about shot.
