extraction costs

Recommended Posts

I was approached by a an arb company that was dismantling 47 large ash on country estate. it was tight and they wanted minimal ground disturbance so no large machinery. I priced the job to be what I thought to be a fair price and was point blank laughed at!!?? I'm not being funny but how much do they expect two people to work for and run a machine as well?? It was a good weeks work at the very least!!?? What kind of money do you guys charge for a weeks work?? Some people I know charge per ton others hourly rate but I'm sure nobody works for free!!!

Give a fair price that you are comfortable with and if they are not able to accept then you won't do the job. Other contractors might have the ideal machinery sitting idle and want it used to keep a team busy, so can undercut you.

Obviously, if all your quotes are too high then you need a rethink! But if you have enough work then why worry about it...
