Boots

Hi I an on my second pair of Haix pro lite boots (gold) and I think they are great, really light and a good heel for irons, but not completley waterproof, maybe the goretex version would be OK, but I swear by them.

If you're referring to the original protector lite boots, they're not even shower proof and agony in spikes. Superbly comfy though. I'll never buy another pair.

However, I started a thread earlier today asking about the replacement, the Gold. Any news anyone? :001_smile:

@Minotaur, You're right it does infringe HSE regs not to wear the relevant PPE and I agree that it's safer to wear full ballistic trousers and boots whether climbing or otherwise. But I wouldn't say it is necessarily dangerous not to as long as you work in a sensible, safe and professional manner.

I have just had to retire my air power gold's they lasted nearly a year, really comfy straight out the box the only problem i found was they split really badly down the outside of the left boot after about 7-8 months? it may well have been my fault for not looking after them as well as i should have . i now have a pair of airstreams and they've taken a while to break in but if i'm on spikes all day they're really comfy
