It's a lad from Wakefield who gets a team of ten guns together. The Keeper is called Whinney and he has rights on land all round Market Weighton from North Howden to Thorpe le st and as far down as Willerby.

He supplies ten guns also so our team walk and shoot while the other team stand and then swap over and they aim at 100 to 120 bird days which is ok because half of them can't hit them which leaves more for me :001_tongue:

You'll be with Kevin Moss then.

Winston 'Winny' Hagston is the bloke with the shooting rights.

Say hello to Kev and the boys then from Nige at Driffield.

I used to shoot with those lads quite a bit a few years back for a few seasons as part of a roving syndicate, but got chance of a 'dead men's boots' syndicate place and couldn't go with them as often and Kevin used to run it on a first refusal basis for those there to attend the next day.

Also, the lad I used to go with to these shoots emigrated to Spain and so I have lost touch with Kevin's crew.

You'll enjoy your days out with them if you can shoot, cos theres a good few duffers in the team and it makes for a cheap day.:001_tongue:

3 or 4 of us used to regularly shoot half the bag!

Small world the shooting world

Kevin Moss was out beating for us yesterday on our shoot at Hudds.

There aren't too many of the original crew left, quite a lot of new faces, This is my third year so must have just missed you.

Martin and Wes are the ones who I know have been there a while.

Only problem with a lot of the other teams guns is they don't know what a high bird looks like :001_cool: and on the terrain of Winnies shoots there aren't many places to get height, some of the ducks last year were crackers coming back in to the ponds with the wind

I'll mention you to him, he's had a hard year this year, family, work and health probs but is on the mend now
