Oops; just spotted that my Garrya guess was from a second shot of the specimen. Having now seen the first I withdraw! It's all too confusing...

Here's an unusual one we worked on yesterday in a suburban(quite posh) garden. First I've seen round here in 20+years working. Sadly the roots were knackered, so we had to chop it doon.

Too easy eh?

Thought the foliage was really nice. Kept a couple of lumps from the stem to rip in two to make novelty stools/chairs. It's got deeply coloured heart wood.
