My last one btw was Castanea henryi, doubt anyone would have got that one :-P har har har

 

aaaaah we're entering the realm of dried up 'herbarium' type idents... should be fun..

 

I'll get the ball rolling with my first stab of Fraxinus chinensis

 

Gutted!! I spent some time looking for that one , im sure i have looked at it aswell. just been busy and ive been meaning to go back to it, never mind ill sleep tonight :lol:

OK the first one is actually according to the label in the Botanics the Japanese Cork Tree which I recall was given P. lavallei. From one dried leaflet probably indistinguishable from P. japonicum or amurense. Right, that's one oriental place reference used up.

 

I was half right then worth P. amurense. :lol:
