Horse Chestnut

Does anybody know if Horse-Chestnut would make good firewood and does it take much seasoning? We have recently been cross cutting some at college and was wondering whether I could use it on the fire. I've noticed in a book that I have parts of it are toxic. Does this rule it out?:confused1:

Cheers

Not the best fire wood but burns if dry, they reckon 2 years seasoning is best, but if you speed up the drying with Poly tunnels and the like, would be ready sooner.

Oh and one of Rupe's girl friends says it burns better if you remove the bark!.
