evening are there any hedge layers in my area & how much a metre is it ,its job for me @ my yard

hi were based near hull and do hedge laying price depends on age of hedge, thickness, varietys involved lots of blackthorn in a thick hedge can be a nightmare. we did one last yr on a estate near us it was twelve yr old stewardship max that had grown really well was mostly all 8ft pluss and we charged 6 per metre

it was a good one to do we me and my 2 lads managed 40 to 50 m a day on it all staked and weaved no binders tho was hard graft to make the metres but needed the job was a bit quiet at time

say 45m then, at £6/m that's £90/person/day. If you intend to pay tax, insurance etc that does not leave you with a lot. Not criticising for the sake of it, just seems really quite low to me.

2 labourers on 60 quid a day me on 150 not to bad realy in january. rather be geting that than sat at home lol. Id love to charge more but would rather have the work.
