Hiya

This is my first post on the forum despite having been reading the forum for a good while.

anyhow, I've just got a new 357 and I was considering running it on aspen. Its had a splash of regular fuel in it when it was being tested by the dealer but no more than that.

Is it easy enough to make the change or will the saw need tuned differently?

Thanks alot

andy

Husky endorse the use of aspen so I doubt that.. I would stick with one or the other from the start, my experience with aspen is it caused a few running probs changing fuels continuously.

On machines I have ran aspen on from new or made the change and stuck to it have been spot on and more importantly a pleasure to use!

thats interesting , i was reading their warranty details and in would appear that if you use anything other than husky two stroke in the fuel mix then you rissk your saw not being covered by the waranty .

any way you learn something new every day , just a shame down in cornwall thee is no one selling aspen

You will be ok with aspen,& husky endorse it too as said.

You may need to get the saw re-tuned to run sweetly,(richened up on the L,& maybe the H carb adjustment screws),if you dont know how to do this correctly,I would let a good chainsaw tech sort it.

I run all my saws on it,some old ones that have used pump fuel for years, and some from the off, stihl echo & husky, not had any problems other than having to adjust the carbs to suit the fuel.:001_smile:

If that was the case it would make sense to sick to standard fuel until the saw is out of warranty, not just run it in.
