harkie hiviz smock

I've worn mine several times now and today it was pouring all day long.

When I took it off my jumper was slightly damp which is as I would expect in our climate.

I've found the cut of the smock to be excellent and its very comfy. I thought that not having a full length zip would irritate me but it doesn't.

Excellent product.

They are to railway spec so totally conform to highways. As with any breathable product they do get grubby quickly so washing/cleaning has to be done with care. We get ours from Welcome to Redwood UK for your professional woodchippers. Sorry this link seems to go through to their woodchipper site. It's the same company. I think they used to be Orchard Hill Supplies near Andover. Any problems PM me and I'll get the office to forward details to you.

Just a cautionary note:

These jackets are indeed "High Viz" but if you need them to be certified to EN471 for highways or rail use I would ask to see the certificates or conformance before buying. Having read the label I think they suggest they "comply" rather than are certified too there is a difference. Any distributer or retailers selling them as "fully certified" risk being taken to task by trading standards under the 1995 PPE directive.

Mine is coming close to retirement after 2 hard years. I reproof it but the shoulder seams still let a bit through and all the refective strips are falling off. The only thing I don't like about it is its baggy round the waist which lets the wind in. Good for the price but think im gonna opt for a cut n climb when it finally dies

are they guaranteed 100% waterproof in working conditions because I am sick of so called waterproofs that are barely shower proof.

I dont stay dry working in a harke smock, wet arms, not sure if it because you get so hot, only found it comfortablea few times in extreme cold IE: -15! trousers were unbearable, only worn once!!
