The trick with the pulleysaver is to roll the rope into the clip I managed to install 13mm it isn't as easy as 11mm but its do able.

the sailing clip can cope with any diameter.

The clip has been designed so it doesn't clip a second bight of rope into it either locking your rope off or the rope falling out of the clip, those sailing shackles don't last long I found the small ring used for realising the clip breaks easily.

the rings are stainless with a minimum 800kgs breaking strain, so i think your using a weak one.

 

the sailing shackles are bomb proof, so again the ones you have use must be poor quality.

Wish i had an ebay account and had bid on the one posted earlier, £20 cheaper than the buy it now price. Someone got a bargain, not that £85 isn't a bargain. I will be trying to get one soon.

 

just ask the seller, fees a 10% on ebay....he might sell one cheaper.
