advice on a good saw for floor and tree

ok mate, would you say its still good with a smaller bar as im not on massive trees just building experience and confidence but cheers for the advice.

The 460 is one of the finest saws ive ever used.For the best of both worlds run it with a 25" bar,and keep an 18" bar and chain in your truck.Then you're ready for anything.

357 are fantastic, feels like a big saw in a little body

 

As a slight digression, what's the opinion on the 372XP? It's a good bit cheaper than the 576XP/MS441/MS460 and a bit lighter too (at the expense of power admittedly). There are a lot of good saws in the 70-80cc class.....

 

I really like my 372. Can't compare it to the 576 as never used one but find it nicer to handle than the 440 and 441. Never ran bigger than a 20" on it but in softwood it will pull that on an 8 tooth rim and semi chisel.

 

I reckon in a few years, the 372 will be a bit like the 242's now - everyone will be buying them up on ebay once they stop making them
