Why would they not charge vat on postage? If the item being delivered is zero vat rated then so is the postage but otherwise you charge vat.

Even if the item is Zero Vat their is still Vat on the postage.

It would be far better if they scrapped VAT altogether.

 

Theres is no way I add any value to my customers trees.

 

 

 

In fact can anyone explain what the real reason is behind VAT as apart from just another tax I dont see what its for.

vat is a tax on enterprise

we pay approx 30k to the gov each year for what

not sure yet but there must be a reason

Touche Mark and if the VAT was scraped all together in your country there would be such an economic BOOM, the likes of which most if not all of Europe could not begin to understand. IMO you pay a VAT tax because your told to, not because there is any actual "Value". How the tax man can claim Value from a tax on most everything ppt included is nearly as illusionary as Jasper Maskelyne during WWII, actual difference Jasper Maskelyne was the real thing. The Tax man is still pretending, getting away with it.
