Yo!

 

I'm very intrigued by this system ever since I first saw that F8 revolver system the other year. The wrench seems like a great progression onwards as it is smoother than the F8 where I found the F8 too hard to tender slack.

 

Imo I can see this system has a particular advantage in accessing and working in large trees compared to drt.

 

Because we are now dealing with a single rope and not doubled up as in drt, what does this mean in terms of rope selection for the climbing lines? Would it still be the same?

I think Tachyon would be good but I use a static line with my Unicender. Under a fall condition I believe you would have slight movement of the unicender.

 

I wonder if you would get a little movement on the friction hitch as well in a fall using the Wrench?
