Which Protein shake?

Recommended Posts

Milk, touch of ice cream, banana, 5-7 strawberries, handful of blueberries, handful of oats, 10 brazil nuts... blend it. Drink it up. Chuck the oats in last so you don't completely pulverise them so that they are slower release for the carbs.

When I was gyming 3 times a week plus Krav'ing 2-3 times, I got fairly chunky while boshing this.

You want cheapest one which mixes with zero clumps, the clumps don't get absorbed properly.

You want a fast digesting protein such as whey Before and after workout with any form of simple carbs,I am a honey fiend so always have a whey shake with water and tablespoon of honey after workout.During daytime and nighttime you want casein protein, much slower digestion.

I found Aloot of shakes had Nasty flavourings and sweeteners in so any which hasn't got these in is good in my books.Avoid egg protein and milk protein powders as you just shat it out again. And keep away fom soy protein as it encourages estrogen production.

If I want egg protein I just boil 20eggs and mince the whites up with some yoghurt and honey in a blender.I prefer making whole food shakes personally.I'm trying to get to sub 6percent fat again so at Moment my shake is handfull ice cubes and either two chickn breasts or lump of steak mince in blender for few mins and knock that back haha.Add fruit juice to flavour if needed, two or three tins tuna water and orange juice was once a Staple of mIne haha.

I third lorrys statment on (MY Protein) myprotein.co.uk . excellant value and has everything you need in it, 5KG inpact Whey £44. Maximuscle twice that. Helped me look look this good naked :thumbup1: protein isnt a substitute its there to supplement your balanced diet. if your after defination and recovery a good whey and BCAA's mix is what you want. In this job i found i was losing alot of weight so added extra carbs to the mix. But then again what works for me might not for you so try a few things over a period of time. But remember, its all about looking good naked.
