It's all sitting on stone chips though, it'll never be damp for long.

That's my thinking anyway, or will it still go bad?

 

Can do because it will still be sitting in water some of the time. Best thing to do is get it all up on pallets as it allows air in underneath to circulate and dry it well. A mate of mine used to have his logs (commercial quantities) sitting directly on Type 1 in his yard and regularly lost the lower layer to mildew until he put a layer of pallets down. :001_smile:

I delivered 10 cubic metres of lovely dry softwood logs to a hotel, for some reason they insist on keeping it outside against the wall of a building, on the ground, with no cover :confused1:

 

The wall might keep off a little rain, but it's already soaking wet!
