Cypress aphid

Anyone got any info on effective pesticides to use?

I.ve had a search around the net and have found the following info "Spray in early summer at the first sign of an attack to prevent damage occurring. Suitable products contain imidacloprid (Bayer Provado Ultimate Bug Killer Concentrate) or bifenthrin (Scotts Bug Clear, Doff All-In-One Garden Pest Killer or Bayer Sprayday Greenfly Killer Plus). It is often difficult to spray large hedges thoroughly and in years when the aphid is abundant some damage will occur. Damaged hedges can recover but it is likely to be a slow process."

Just wondering if anyone has any better info or has used the above pesticides with good results?

Damaged hedges rarely recover satisfactory imo

This one im looking at aint too bad atm so its more like trying to stop/prevent anymore damage.

I still need to check properly to see if it is the aphid (difficult to spot) or if its something else.

Cant be scorched from the sun thats for sure :001_smile:
