Tree assessment/forest pathology

Recommended Posts

That would be good, a fungal fix as I missed it too  Really peeved as I was all ready and looking forward to it, but the the wife had, um, issues! Not happy, as those issues made me miss my place to see Mynors at Barcham recently. Grrrr

Always next year...

maybe you should develop "issues" that force your participation!

hi took down a large red oak with these fruiting bodies on the stem ok no big deal was diagnosed about 8 years ago .the clients told me they lost another tree a while ago not far away and they have a chestnut which is diseased just a bit down from the oak the next door neighbour ask me to look at her trees which dont look great so it got me thinking about honey fungus moving along the row of trees . we are removing the stump of the oak so should be interesting to see whats there , your earlier post about honey fungus moving along from host to host triggered my assumptions although i havent noticed evidence of honey fungus ,, think the fruiting bodies are gannoderma your thoughts please a few pics and will take some more as we carry on.
