084av max bar lenth

Recommended Posts

084, 088, and 3120 are about as big as you'll get, they'll all run 7'+ bars albeit not very quickly, and you'll want an aux oiler.

090 would run a bar that size better, but are rare and usually quite aged. 090g would be best, but that is super-rare.

Thanks slot for your input , so I'm safe to buy a 7' bar ? Looking for a 090g next normal 090 sold for £225 other week should of snapped it up

if you need a 7' bar, and have a good running 084 then go for it, she'll chew through anything eventually. but buy or make an auxillary oiler for it.

i did see that 225quid 090, an absolute steal... and sadly ive never seen a 090g for sale in europe, and you'd be hard pressed to find parts for the geardrive if needed...

090- 137cc, 090g-107cc(same top end as an 070).... there was a very limited number of 10ci (163.8cc) 090s released by stihl (holy grail).

big saws are good. currently my biggest saw is 88cc.... it makes me sad sometimes:crying:
