art cocoon 2 and pulley saver??

The cocoon is only the actual pulley. Its used as a part of a ropeguide/pulley saver system. It totally eliminates friction in the system. If you're using a cambium saver there is reduced friction, but you are still running over the two rings. A cocoon or pinto has no friction at all and you really notice the difference if you are using a VT or Spiderjack/Lockjack as it will self tend easier.

Thanks, all makes sense now. I can see the benefits now but does the cost justify the advantage I wonder?

 

Fatigue is minimal, ascending is easier, and basicaly allowing quicker more fluid movement around the tree,time is money and the amount of working time of the pulleys life surely justifys it, been on a ropeguide for a couple of years now would never go back !
