This is one of the gery areas, by one reading it would be use a chain saw from rope and harness, by deeper reading climb and use a saw to remove some branches in a tree canopy. Really in the real world, it will prove you can use your saw safly in a tree, with out doing harm to you or the tree. If you are going to do alot of rigging work think about CS41 in a years time once you have worked for a bit and can climb with spare space in your head for other things....

im a student currently learning at college/work and im recently going to be taking my cs39 next week so if any1 knows what this entitles me to do at work???

 

this is a grey area but it would clarify to everyone if you asked your assessor as your replt said you thought it covered light prunning but prunning is cs40 now if you did 39 and 40 you definatly use saw for stubbs but everyone seems to go why is there cs39 hope you pass and find out your assessors interpretation of what it entitles you to do
