The company I work for are currently looking for a range of staff Inc:

 

 

Location: Northern England & Scotland*

 

Arboricultural Consultants/Tree Surveyors*– Northern England & Scotland*

 

This market leading multidisciplinary consultancy have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Arboricultural consultant to join their team based in Manchester.*

 

Qualification- Candidates for this role will ideally hold a minimum qualification of an AA Tech cert/ HND in Arboriculture or forestry, and hold membership of an appropriate professional body.**

 

Experience- ideal candidates for this role will hold survey*experience in the arboriculture field, with demonstrable knowledge of Visual Tree Assessments, tree surveys and inspections, tree database management and providing expert advice for planning applications and reports. Experience in GIS/ GPS systems is an advantage.

 

Ideally we would prefer a QTRA qualified individual. However, this is not essential.

 

Duties Include:

 

- Tree inspections

- Visual Tree Assessments

- QTRA Inspections

- Tree Surveys

- Tree database management

- Use of GIS and hand held data capture devices

- Managing projects and Arboricultural contracts

- Tree advice for planning applications and reports

- Travel to field sits across the UK*

- Assisting on other environmental projects when required eg: Environmental assessments and GIS projects*

 

Typical Projects: Working on large scale development projects, including transport, aviation, highways and residential / mixed use projects, you will provide specialist arboriculture consultancy services to clients in both the public and private sectors.

Other examples of projects that you can expect to get involved with include woodland management plans and working on multidisciplinary projects for habitat enhancement, biodiversity projects and renewables.

again im gutted, this is THE job oportunity I crave, and no quals to apply

 

man I got to get this sorted somehow, its killing me watching these jobs slide by me.

 

Ive seen loads of your posts and you look like you are very clued up on all of the above just drop the a email you never know:thumbup:

no point mate, it specifies what they want and i got nothing they want

 

i could do it with my eyes shut, but it means NOTHING these days

Try Ham, you never know what might happen. Before college I made the biggest shot in the dark I could. I applied for a job that wanted a Bsc with nothing more than GCSE's (and not very good ones) I got it, well, sort of, because they thought I was the right sort of person for it!

 

 

You never know when your luck changes mate

I will apply just for the crack, 99.99% likely shot down, been there done this before and have lost so much drive because Its just not going to happen till ive got the quals, its not the way things are these days.

 

its all about the quals, many will apply for this post, they will have CAD and or a level 4-6 qual, and i would be competeing on what basis? an over the hill climber with a VTA certificate!
