do manor ash normally split as much as this??? and what are they grafted too??

this was at a private house but she had a consultant come out and name all the trees!!

Looks like the rootstock is plain old F. excelsior to me. And those splits are growth cracks in the bark so its probably characteristic of the species - but then I haven't seen too many...

Climbed a few manna ash - they are very snappy with weak forks in the crown.

it was a big un!!!the bark was very thin like a beech and very interesting!!
