BTW, you would not be allowed to use screwgates for a redi in a comp!

 

Just think of the Hundreths of seconds you could shave off your times if you used wiregates for redis

Have any of you tried the new isc springlock karabener?

 

I have one on my main line but use a standard 3 way for a secondary strop.

 

The Petzl ball locks are good, nice and easy to use.

 

Whats every1 else using?

I used to think they were great, easy to use especially when holding on with one hand and I never found them to come undone when tightened properly.

 

Bettter than the ones we have to use now imo.

 

I concur, I started climbing with them and would still- However a spate of 3way Krab incidents have been posted-so their not fool-proof. You do actually make at least three distinct movements to lock them anyway.....
