No doubt because I am cack handed. I used to wear the pod on my right leg and run my ropes down the right hand side. On a number of occasions during changovers I have pulled my climb line to advance only to have the saw come out of the pod and cut into the rope. I ended up cutting the splices of 2 different ropes.

My fault entirely, but I cannot change. So I changed by not using it and went back to a scabbard on my harness. Not a design fault of the saw pod. But a design fault with me. ;)

 It does seem to be a bit like marmite the sawpod! Love it or hate it... I've pulled the saw out pulling the rope up but not to the extent it cut into it...

If it does I may go back to a scabbard but until then my wee neoprene buddy will continue to live on my leg!

Horses for courses indeed Rob.

Rich uses a Sugoi, which has quite a large handle. I have caught my Zubat a few times, but never badly enough to cut my rope. There are a few cons, but the pros outweigh them for me.

Did you try it on your left leg Rich? Crossover draw stylee? Might appeal to your inner gangsta?
