Yup, that’s a good prospect, particularly for someone on a pre 97 licence.

You could make it tip by adding the hinges and using the hiab to lift the body.

The payload will be about 1500kg and that hiab will serve a trailer with about 2250kg of payload so all in all 3.5 tons of payload+/-

The Phaser engine is powerful and bomb proof but Perkins are as heavy with the pricing as anyone else. The only down side is the door bottoms and cills are prone to rust.

It’s an HGV rig so you are into “O” licence etc but if you don’t have the appropriate licence you can always wing it on “AG” and cherry and see how long it takes “them” to catch you.

What are the brakes like Andy???????

Pretty standard fare for the date and size of the vehicle.

Twin circuit vac assisted drums on the back disk on the front. The drums are self-adjusting (in theory)

They are effective enough, most people who moan about them haven’t spent any money on brake maintenance in a while.

You might need a bit more right leg compared to modern vehicles.

Ummmmm

Yes you can do it but…….

Dodge did a 4x4 variant of the 7.5t but I have only seen vans. Reynolds Boughton made the RB44 and the RB75

That’s a pretty rare beast, the best source would be ex military but they weren’t in service in great numbers.

I would go for the 50 in the ebay listing and give it a trailer to drag
