Bloody Peugeot!

Went to start the car today and saw the dreaded electronic immobiliser warning light - I'm fairly sure that's quite bad, yes?... and expensive?

I'm a 30 min drive from work so can't get there. hmm...

Does the key disarm the immobiliser? If so perhaps the battery in the key is running flat. Have dropped keys also, this can slightly move the battery so it doesnt contact and deactivate the alarm/immob, Hope this helps

in the peugeot dealer now ££££££££££

£160 to bodge the wires that were damaged, got 500 metres down the road and it stalled, wouldnt start again. towed back to peugeot garage and will have to fork out £150 for a more in depth bodge job.... now driving a shitty little 107 super mini!

oh yeh, the cost of a new wiring loom for the engine bay is £1300.

told them to f off, the whole cars only worth £700!

hmmm.... Audi A4 tdi estate time i think....

i had a awful start to my driving life ealier in the year passed my test and a week after head gasket blown took it to a garage ummed and errrd about fixing it for 650 quid went for it then it went up to 800 as they found new problems (not a rip off garage).

 

my water pipes still keep blowing every month or so i just cant afford a new motor.

feel for you. the trouble with being young (ish) is that you can't afford a car worth more than one or two grand, and they tend to be trouble after a year. in the 6 years since passing my test i have had an escort, an astra, a ldv 400 van, a pug 406 saloon, a nissan primera and now this bloody shed on wheels!

if i add up all the money spent on those cars, i could of bought a fairly new car and still be running it now!

oh well, stuff happens....

Feel for you mate - I had similar probs with a 206 - just got rid of it to some wiseguy dealer..nothin but trouble - get yourself something nice and german!!
