Am I just too old??

Recommended Posts

I never believe that much, but the more I earn the more I know its pure BS. The more I earn the happier I am.

I think happiness is wealth, if you are happy and contented what else really matters?
There is no doubt that having “loadsa money” makes shallow people happy, but family and contentment is way beyond money.
Just my opinion of course.

I dont move fast though, thats what the scroats are paid for.

I heard..... Allegedly all oil workers are required to move fast?!.... that make you a “scroat” then trig?!...

I think it’s scrote, not scroat.

Yes, I do agree with that. Family are also very important to me. :) it’s nice to have a little extra cash to be able to spend it on them and that makes me happy. Also having the time to spend it with them is an added bonus.

I’m 56 now.

Something an older friend said to me a good while back when we were talking about getting older.

You leave your fifties as a very different man than when you entered them.

They were always called drilling mongs on the rigs I was on! But I was maintenance so the mongs encompassed drillers and tool pushers.
