Nice pics, what camera?

Its a Panasonic Lumix LX5.

Steep learning curve for me. I found the depth of field very shallow in macro in auto so went out today to practice with different aperture settings to increase DOF and this is the result. (this, after teaching myself about DOF thru google, then wadeing through the camera instructions)

I am deeply, deeply pleased with it so far.

looks like your on the road to some fine photography, your first is too hard, no gills shape and form unclear, lovely crisp shot though.

Second is possibly flamulina velutipes, did it have velvet brown stipe?

No more pics of the first but will dig up some more of the second. Thanks for the critique and ID. (didn't notice stripes)

I'm happy to go anywhere with this thread, particularly in the direction of photo technical advice from yourself and others.:thumbup1:

Edit: just noticed you said stipe and not stripes, What are stipe?
