hmmm i was wondering what i would charge it out for....i dont think i could get enough for it to be worth while....it would need to be at least £160, personally i reckon its worth more like £60-£70

walking sticks make £50, that should make in the region of £120-£150

I kid you not, I saw three cubes of oak with a finished and oiled surface going for £2000 in a shop in nightsbridge. They were being marketed as occasional tables. I think marketed in the right place Steve, you could get a lot of money for the bench, marketing is the difficult part. I like it very much by the way.

that looks like a very good bench, is it ok if i blatantly steal your design as the girlfriend has been asking for her own personally carved bench for 2 years now. you will be surprised what people will pay, by the sounds of it, like me you under valve what you can get for things i have done a few things and think cant get much for that then someone comes along and offer what i consider to be silly money, but who am i to disagree! you will be surprised what people will pay i had a friend that made some sycomore cubes just cut the sides off some logs, for his wife to display things on in her art shop no sanding involved just rough cut, someone came in and asked how much are they! sold for £29 a piece.........

Steve that bench is really nice, the shapes are so smooth, I guess there was quite a bit of sanding or could you get that fluid shape with the saw?

This is one of our friends companies, there is good money in it if you market it correctly. they have a huge belt sander but no mill yet, trying to convince them a CSM would be ok for what they want, and given the huge sander available it doesnt have to be to fine finish.

here is their breakfast table (im going to make on like this with some of my timber i have milled)

also the seats are pretty comfortable
