Nice job Mate!

How much for a box for my Mog?

LOL- I doubt you are serious, but i would happily undertake the job! To have bought the ali planking etc new would have cost me around £290 plus the dreaded, if that gives you any idea. I would guesstimate that you could easily lose a grand doing it with ali, much less in steel.:001_smile:

No i mean what sort of box. I have a cardboard one that a washing machine came out of that I would be willing to part with.

And for the right money I would tip the younguns toys on the floor to free up the plastic one.

Very nice Tommer, i was just thinking today what sides you had on your truck as i have passed it a few times. My ply boards are looking a bit ropey and then i spot this thread. May have to try some metal sides on mine now too.

Did you make the roof rack?

I am after one but struggle to find anyone who supplies them.

Ed.

I am well chuffed with the sides Ed. TBH its been a bit of a birthday for the landy, which is running better now than in the 8 years i have had it. Its had a new gear and transfer bix and the rear diff sorted, and now its looking tops too!!

The roofrack was a lucky find really. I used to do alot more work in woodlands, and kept trashing cabs. I got one through a mate and the guy offered me the rack for a tenner!! It may have been home made, albeit very well, as it isnt galvanised though, but is perfect for when the back is full, and you would have a job to nick anything at the lights too!

Mine had a new box and transfer box but is still so noisey in the cab and only really cruises at 55-60 until i meet a hill then right down the box just to get over it. Is yours anything like that or is my 300tdi seen better days?

I will get a roof rack as the beacon can sit in it and not get hit etc like you say somewhere to stick some kit too!
