Timberwolf 125, advice needed please.

Hi Chaps.

I have just purchased a used Timberwolf 125PH, year 2000 with single hydraulic feed roller.

The machine runs well, except I don't think the feed roller is performing as it should. The chipping blades are a bit on the blunt side and need a shapen, which will be done ASAP, but it seems to be struggling to drag wood into the chipping chamber. The roller doesn't seem to grip the timber, and just rubs some pieced unless they are pushed in. I know this is not normal as I have used single feed machines before.

Can anybody advise me what the best solution to this is? Will a blade change help, and is it possuble to sharpen the blades on the roller to make it grip the timber better? Also, could the roller retention spring be wearing?

Any help would be appreciated. I have booked it into my local TW dealer on Monday for a blade change.

Many thanks!

I bet the blade sharpen will sort it,if they are BLUNT the rolers will just skip and chew the timber, least ways get the blades sharpened / changed and see how you go.

I have seen this with badly dull cutting blades on the tw 125 and 150.

If that doesn't sort it change the springs & grease the slider carriage and rolers.
