Help finding a Transit Tipper

This is a long shot but im desperate, right i have been looking all over for a transit tipper. i have just became a parnter in my fathers business and i have recently been really busy with tree work blah blah....... any ways cut along story short i have 2500 pounds to spend looking for a milenium shape transit double cab either 2000- 2002. does anyone no were theres anything for sale.

I'd steer clear of them mate. Have worked for 2 companies that run Transits as tipper trucks and they are more trouble than they are worth. One was an 04 and the other a 01 and neither of them have nearly enough power. They are good for a light chipper or half a fill of chip, definitely not both. Any more and the first hill you meet is a new clutch.

Have a look at David Ridings cabstar in the classifieds, If you want a chip truck ASAP to get you earning, Might be worth a bash mate!

£2.5 grand you may be struggling to get an 02 crew cab for that money and if you do it will have high miles and been abused, you may be better looking at another option.

as for transits not pulling there weight i think they are excellent pick ups and if you look after them they look after you.

we have two transits both 53 plate, bit underpowered, but we are never in a rush also, we never smell anything coming from the clutches - even when rammed full of chip with chipper. unfortunately they aren't crew cabs, would love one!
