The problem is with this guy is he is one of these that is very defensive and secretive. So by not opening up with other tree surgeons and getting along he doesn't learn what he is doing wrong and will never learn new techniques.

 

The open day in the wood and things like Steves forum are IMO the way forward. You clam up and shun others, you will be left behind in the dark ages.

 

I've tried talking to this guy before but he seems to slam the door in your face. I'll keep trying I'd rather see him educated than killed

Why waste time worrying about crap tree workers get on with your own business. If your that good why are you bitching about some one elses work they aint about you their to busy earning money.

Its incrimination i would bet the bank on it. If you put any information public about a person or company that can and will harm their reputation or incriminate them i think you will find yourself in hot water. Unless you have undeniable proof.

 

And more to the point why bother you will always get rougue traders.

 

Always do a good job you will never be short of work reccommendations are what power most small companies advertising only gets you so far.

I have no intention of posting anyones name. I was talking about an anominous person so WTF does it matter what I say about him.

 

It isn't about bitching about someone elses work. It is about educating the general public to show them the difference between decent work and crap work, they have no idea.

 

I priced the same job and I know this guy will have put in a lot higher price than me for crap work. Branches just dropped onto lawns instead of lowering and it was someone elses lawn, not the clients.

 

I am not so much bothered about how good people are as much as how much they rip people off. One thing I cannot stand and hate with a vengence is clients who are ignorant to what quality tree work, being ripped off.

 

Quality work = quality price

 

Crap work = Crap price

 

They may not be bitching about us and they may be out earning money, but this particular guy is charging premium rates for crap work.
