My back cant take much more post hole digging, can anyone recommend a good petrol one man hole borer? Not interested in kanga kids or mini digger/auger as they have limited use.Tried a 2 man stihl years ago and was far from impressed.

What size holes are you digging?

Is this just for one job, or is it something you would get lots of use from in the future?

Reason i ask is i have a stihl 2 man, i may hire/ sell it, dependant on price. It has 3", 5" and 10" augers. I know you may have bad memories of these, but believe me a one manner is not funny after one of these.

Let me know if you are interested.

Thanks lads, as usual a professional and useful feedback. Seems to me that these 1 man augers are only fit for easy digging soil, i may as well stick to my grafter, at least when my back finally breaks i can cut the spade off and use it as a walking stick. Thanks 18 stonner but i work on my own, 2 mans no good to me.DENT thanks for the info, very interested, depending on price

I'll be agreeing with everyone else:dito: Keep digging or even better get some other guy to do it.:damnmate: I've used hole borers on more than one occassion and unless it is nice soil you're better off digging, but then if it's nice soil you're better of digging and keeping the extra cash to congratulate yourself on a job well done:beer::thumbup:
