Had the first outing of my brand spanking 660 today ( cheers Jonsie.....great saw great deal).

 

Fired her up to fell a big old oak, got the gob cut in and went around to do the back-cut, got half way through and hit a NAIL, mullered the chain, had to spend half hour sharpening it up.

 

Bloody hell, it's only down 3 cuts!!!!!!

Did the same on some angle iron when i bought my 395 (less than an hour in my possession). Sods law i say.:laugh1:

I find my 660 tip-heavy running a 36", so have switched to a 25", with the big bar kept in the truck for the odd beast.

I'd have thought you'd be using 2x 660s at the same time Mark! :lol:

Make you right mate, the 36 was for this beast of a tree, and my intentions are to do the same as you. I bet the saw roars with a 25 on it??
