Anything other than an MS200T

I am buying my first TH saw and was wondering what would be a good choice other that the 200T which is out of my price range £400 limit. I use the 200T for work during the week but looking for a TH saw for wkend work any good idea's or opinions.

Stevie is probably right,but if it realy isn't an option,have a look at the echo top handle saws,I have run the little one for over a year now,and it has been used hard,no problems at all.I would go for the bigger one if you are only getting one saw,as the exta bar length and power would be nescesary.

As an aside,I realy get on with the side handle which curves back to the rear of the saw,as you can reach out and still use two hands on the saw,gives realy good agility and safety.

The AMA is definately worth a shot but it isn't a 200T. Provided you know that and are willing to accept it's limits then you will be fine. I would still look to do another conifer job somewhere to find that £52ish needed for the ultimate topper.

 

agreed, the ama is a good back up saw, very light but doesnt av as much guts compared to the 200t
