looks like i will have to head up there at some p[oint....looks fantastic. Any photo's of the old Hollies up there??

 

You would so enjoy the surroundings sean.

 

Unfortunately it's a private estate, which I suppose is a good thing for the ecology of the site.

 

Think we may have a couple of contacts in terms of getting back in. :thumbup1:

 

10 years in between visits is way too long for me.

 

 

 

The adjacent woods called the Thicks, are where the old growth hollies are.

It's where they have Piptoporus quercinus on a "few" hosts.

though too early for us to see fruiting yet :sad:

 

Don't think I took many shots in there as light was poor due to the nature of the canopy density, here's a couple of shots.

Ta Tony,

 

went up to the lite package at £24 per annum which is 50 Mb,

but due to the Stav shots & a couple of other pages, I'm all of a sudden up to 95% of that already,

David, if you format your images to around 250kb to 600kb youll have adequate size/quality for web production whilst stretching your budget.:001_smile:

 

just how big are you uploading your files to youre site?
