Staverton...

Recommended Posts

As you all know both myself and MonkeyD spent a couple of days up at Staverton and Ive been thinking about this thread for a few days, one of us was going to start it sooner or later!

I couldnt really decide how to make the thread a story so i guess I will post some photos up and allow it to "progress" as and when the monkey sees its started!:thumbup1:

I can not do the place justice, niether with words or pictures but we will do our best to give you a good idea of what makes Staverton a truly amazing place. I think this is the premier site in the U.K...:001_cool:

Think your first shot somes it up nicely.

All the ecology you could shake a stick at, and the majority were happy to be prossessionaries.

Well at least it left the place free to explore at our own pace. :thumbup1:

Will add a few more shots later.

Awesome site.

Have to agree, outstanding place, some wonderful oaks standing and on the ground. Over 4000 trees, you'd need a lifetime to climb them all!

Only went on the first day, and found it highly boring until we got out into the parkland. They should have just let us loose from the moment we arrived!

All them trees looked done for. I'll warm the 660 up. Haha

seriously though, looks a great place. If only trees could talk. Imagine the stories.

I will be purchasing Mattheck but funds are tight with my current "holiday". However I was meaning in a literal sense. As fairytale as it sounds.
