been talking with my dad today. definetly need a double cab tipper. as it will be the main work transport. as we recently purchase a vw crafter 163bhp . which is really far to good for work. so the double cab for tool storage. my mate has a transit tipper for sale 51 plate. double cab. litte bit of rust on the tipper body but can be sorted he wants 2900 for it worth it?????

2001 is very old for a works vehicle. I'd always get the newest I could afford.:thumbup1:

had a R reg old ldv tipper, bloomin brill truck, only got rid as it was really tired and wanted some work on it and had a few probs getting bits for it - but way cheaper on fuel costs compared to the 05 transit crewcab weve got now - but we love the ford now, plenty more poke, a bit higher geared than the old ldv and much more comfy for that longer work day - wouldnt swop the transit now - brilliant trucks - get a 115 engine

does anyone on here have experience with the new citroen? i ruled them out when i was looking at buying a new truck due to my past experiences with the fiat ducato(which was essentially the same as the citroen back then), but the guy from tipmaster i was talking to at capel seems to rate the new ones

How new is new, Steve?

There seem to be a fair amount of Relay/ Boxer/ Ducatos about... the other half runs an older Boxer as a farmer's market van and it's a nice drive and much quieter than Transit but slooow as it's a non turbo 1.9d.

you forgot in the list of faults that " IT"S A NISSAN":lol:

Having owned two Cabstars, one Nissan Sunny, two Micras, one Pathfinder and a Navarra pick-up, and not having a ''single'' problem with any, did you read that? not a ''single'' problem with any! we'll have to agree to disagree..........:001_smile: unlike my brand new Transit which broke down on the way home!
