I have just sold my 3.9 v8 masive tyres and massive lift great truck, lots and lots of power. However as soon as you start to mess with lifting them and huge MT tyres, it realy restricts there towing capability.

Shame coz she was as a beast.

yeh did it with my98 disco and killed it off ask the guys at base training blew so much smoke out nearly sufficated everyone at buxtons lol

was planning to leave it standard apart from some m/ts if i had one

I bought a trooper about 1993 year for shunting trailers round the yard. Just failed its ticket on about £300 worth of repairs. Paid £400 for it unmarked inside and out for the age we are afraid to get in it with boots and overalls. Feels like a nice motor but have never driven it on the road. Very well made and probably comfortable. My family car is a lc vx if I did not have that I would be putting the trooper back on the road. Wish I could find a hilux tipper in this condition

Agree Rangie classics are great but are now classics hence why the bring a high price for anything decent. As people have already said go for Disco 2, great for towing and you can get some tidy motors for same price you would pay for Rangie classic in great condition.
