Defender 90 tipper???

wot do you think lads, at the min im running a td5 hardtop. is my delivery truck and also my car.

 

but iv now got to the point of needing a tipper as well as my 6cubic meter tipping trailer.

 

iv been quoted about £1600 to put a tipper on my 90

 

and just wunded if any one has tryed this, is there any reason why it wouldent work? also planing on upgrading to heaver springs.

Is it worth it on a 90 mate?? Load space wise i mean, You wouldnt fit alot on a 90.

 

 

If it were me, I think id look at trading it in for a 130 tipper

what are you wanting to carry? firewood? if theres a chance you will need to carry more at a later date then maybe think about a 110,

i agree, we have a 130 tipper and you can get all that much in that

a 90 tipper, whilst it would look nice, would be as useful as a tipping shopping basket..

 

go for a 110 or 130

I dont think you would achieve much load space by turning your 90 into a tipper, plus it would a shame to start cutting up that sweet landy!

 

I would buy a 110 or 130.

there is a small landy garage in bradford that i nipped into a couple of years ago, the chap was modifying a hicap backend to fit to a 90, couldnt see the point personally, i like longer vehicles as theyre loads comfier and carry more:thumbup1:

if it were me id get a bigger trailer or a cheap old pickup. i wouldnt be tempted to mess up that nice landy by unbolting it all to swap the right panels in.

 

course this is just my opinion but id be tempted to spend my money in other ways

i agree with the lot of you but

1 nerly all of my deliverys are small town houses with tiny drives and we all no wot the locks like on a landy

2 dont forget this is also my car so it has to look nice for the birds. a big dirty 130 just wunt cut it lol.
