About 18 months ago i went to Bury Landrover straight from site and was a little messy, the sales staff totally blanked me, i stood there for 30 mins whilst other people came in in there fancy clothes and were pounced on so i left vowing to never go back, the next day went to another dealership again straight from site and they couldnt do enough for me and so did a deal with them.

Today i went back to Bury Land Rover to give them another chance, i purposly put on my company Hiviz jacket and again was totally blanked, i then went to tyhe other dealership that i dealt with previously and again they were fantastic. On the way home I stopped back at the Bury dealership and put on a decent jacket and what happens they try to see if they can help, i asked to see the sales manager any flipped at him.

Do these stuck up idiots realise that Land Rovers roots lie in selling working vehicles ?

I will be contacting land rover me thinks.

P.S. does anybody know of a Disco Commercial 4sale ?

I take great pleasure in turning up anywhere in a battered Hilux and dirty at the end of a day.

Interesting to gauge people's reactions.

I've learned never to judge anyone by the car they drive and the clothes they wear.....they mean nothing.

Same happened to a friend wanting to buy a new landy but wanted to compare the td5 with the puma engine the salesman said they were a bit busy to be taking out a test drive unless he was going to be buying one that day. Just because we both mid twenties in work gear could not be bothered with us, sometimes you have to dress like you have a country estate to please the new landrover dealers

A very wealthy customer of mine, really down to earth bloke, his wife always drove top spec Mercedes - changing them every couple of years. The last time we worked for him, I noticed she had a Lexus. I asked him what made him change, he said the last time he went to the Merc dealer he just went in the overalls he wears when he's working in the livery stables they've got. He said they treated him like s***. God knows how much money that dealership will have lost out on in the future because of that! Terrible way to do business.

Not quite to do with landrover dealers(had enough of them in the past)

I went to a commercial sales place near Aldermaston a couple of weeks ago I went in with a transit that originally came from them and I wanted to take a canter and a cabstar out to have a look at. When I asked they said why would i want to do that. Told the dealer to stick it as I had the money in the bank to buy one in full but as he doesn t want my business i ll be going elsewhere. Shame really they had a good selection of tippers there.
